About the Course

Are you interested in starting a private practice? Are you not sure where to start but would like some one on one guidance and mentorship? You’ve come to the right place. Crave Counseling’s very own Clinic Director is offering a 3 module seminar and mentorship style training to help you get your private practice started. A cohort model means the same group of people participate throughout the whole training, so participants should plan to attend all three trainings and participate in your individual one on one mentorship sessions. If you are not able to participate in all of the private practice modules and individual mentorship requirements of this cohort, please wait to apply during a year when you can. All modules are face to face and all one on one mentorship sessions are virtual. As a reminder, this training is very hands-on and you will walk away with everything you need to start and run a successful practice. The program is a build upon program in which the third module builds on the second module and the second module builds upon the first module. Our program is different in that you will actually have well over 50 takeaways and will be able feel more confident about taking the leap into private practice. At the end of the training, you will walk away with a fully functioning private practice. Come fully prepared and ready to start.

Program Summary:
Module 1: In Module 1, participants will register their business correctly, obtain NPI, EIN & CAQH application. Participants will also register for a business bank account, build a basic website, sync websites/email/EHR software, learn how to sign contracts, learn how to submit a W9 for their business and establish/negotiate rates.

Module 2: In Module 2, participants will learn ethical considerations of running a private practice, learn how to remain HIPAA compliant, learn about CPT codes and medical necessity. Participants will be able to create and connect DUNs to business, learn how to track expenses, connect business bank account Quickbooks, basic accounting, paying self, how to prepare for tax season and how to find the perfect CPA.

Module 3: In module 3, participants will learn how to scale their business, build their brand, learn how to navigate insurance panel provider accounts/verify insurance, learn how to find an office space and negotiate free months of rent, develop additional skills needed to make first 10k month and create and set smart goals for the next quarter.

Learning Objectives
* Participates will learn or have completed the following by the end of the 3 module program.
* Register business and business bank account
* Become fully credentialed with 3 insurance panels and discuss when to negotiate new rates
* Develop niche, learn how to market to ideal clients and gaining allies within the community
* Remain organized and in compliance with insurance panels and state laws
* Able to market using Google Ads, Social Media Platforms and word of mouth models
* Understand and build business credit
* Navigating insurance panels, verifying insurance, insurance adjustments, copays and how to bill for primary & secondary insurance.
* Learn how to track & categorize expenses, preparing for tax season, accounting etiquette and how to find the perfect CPA
* Learn how to choose an EHR system and how to streamline your business using your EHR system
* Establishing your rates, hours and limitations in private practice alongside knowing when to refer out and how to set boundaries within your practice
